Marisa Janicek came to us from San Jose, California. She is a diversified educator with eight years experience in teaching, leadership, administration, and technology. She has been part of a team who gained a Distinguished School Award in San Jose.
Before moving to the South Bay in 2004 she gained seven years
valuable experience teaching and serving in key leadership roles in
elementary schools in the San Jose area. She has focused on the
personal aspects of education, including conflict resolution and
learning disabilities, as well as important new technological
innovations being used in teaching.
Marisa earned a Bachelor's degree in education from the California State University at Chico and a Master's degree in education from San Jose State University. She also has dual credentials in teaching for Learning Handicaps and Multiple Subjects. She has served as a Technology Coordinator and Literacy Leader.
Marisa's hobbies include soccer and triathalons. One of her favorite pastimes is a day at the beach with her husband and two children.
