Eco-Kids
Eco-Kids is an after school club where students come together
to learn more about the earth, its environment, the animals
who live on it and what they can do to make the world a better
place to live for everyone.
This year members of Eco-Kids are learning all about endangered animals.
Third, fourth, and fifth grade students are creating PowerPoint presentations
about specific endangered animals. Look for the presentations on this site
soon.
Here are some great sites that we have discovered and would like to share
with you:
Cougar Action Team
The CAT Team are responsible fifth grade students who are trained in conflict resolution skills at weekly meetings. They apply these skills as monitors during kindergarten and first grade recesses.
Cougar Band
Students in the upper grades have the opportunity to learn a
band instrument and join our Cougar Band. The band holds special
concerts for the students and parents. They also perform in the
community.
Cougar Choir
The Cougar Choir is under the direction of our music teacher
Gianna Lamanna. Choir students learn music theory, history, and
appreciation of different music styles. They also perform at
our Winter Concert, Spring Sing, and at special events in our
city.

Student Council
The fourth and fifth grade classes elect representatives to
the Student Council. These students learn leadership and organizational
skills as they meet monthly to plan school Spirit Days and special
events. They collect money for Unicef; sell candy-grams and Shamograms
to fund student council projects.
Jr. Paparazzi
The Jr. Paparazzi is a new club on campus. They work with Ms
Ashley, our technology teacher, to learn the latest in technology.
Many of the photos and the videos used in the special events
link of the website were taken by our club.
