1.
Rage Against the Machine-Rage Against the Machine
What
can I say?
Angry, anti-establishment lyrics and heavy metal riffs make this my
all-time favorite CD.
Tom Morello is my favorite guitar player ever and I live by the
quote, “$#%@ you I won’t do what you tell me.”
2.
Marty Robbins-Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs
This
CD is awesome. It was recorded in one day and the song, “El Paso” was
a #1 hit on both the pop and country charts at the same time.
Everyone who likes music should have this CD memorized.
3.
Jimi Hendrix-Are You Experienced
Jimi
Hendrix is the most influential guitar player ever.
This is his debut CD and it contains classics such as “Purple
Haze” and “Fire.”
This album changed the way rock music sounds.
4.
Johnny Cash-Live at Folsom Prison
Johnny
Cash is the coolest singer of all time.
He is also my favorite songwriter ever.
Johnny Cash has remained relevant throughout his career and now he
is signed to Rick Rubin’s label, American Recordings, which is the same
label as System of a Down.
5.
Sublime-Sublime
Bradley
Nowell is one of my favorite songwriters of all time. His lyrics are about
things with which many people can identify.
He is also one of my favorite guitarists.
The rest of the band is amazing also.
6.
Beatles-Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Heart’s Club Band
This
is my favorite Beatles album because it is in between being lame pop music
and weird drug music.
I also like Abbey Road almost as much.
I know I need to put in a Beatles album so that I sound like I know
what I’m talking about when it comes to music.
7.
Harry Chapin-Greatest Stories Live
Harry
Chapin’s songs are very interesting musically as well as lyrically.
His songs make the listener identify with a character and
understand the thought process that the character goes through when he or
she has a feeling or makes a decision.
8.
Led Zeppelin-IV
Led
Zeppelin is an awesome band and their songs are an embodiment of what is
good about classic rock.
Jimmy Page is a very versatile guitarist and each song from this
album sounds entirely different from every other one while still staying
similar enough to make the album flow well.
9.
Journey-Greatest Hits
Journey’s
music is so over the top and dramatic that this CD is entertaining while
being horrible.
The songs are indulgent and lame, but they are so lame that they
are funny and I like to listen to them.
10.
Eric Clapton-From the Cradle
I
like this album because it is not commercial in any way.
It simply represents an artist’s view of what good music should
sound like.
Eric Clapton has managed to remain popular since the 60’s while
simply making the music he wants to.
11.
2 Live Crew-As Nasty as they Wanna Be
Misogynist
lyrics and vulgar phrases set to catchy beats.
What more can you ask?
Don’t listen to this CD with your mother.
It will infuriate her.
