Riding high off their 7-0 romp of Santa Monica, the Eagles looked double up on the Vikings on the road. However, Santa Monica wasn't eager to comply with El Segundo's wishes. The Vikings jumped out to a quick 5 to 0 lead in the first two innings. Santa Monica poured in 6 more runs during the top of the third to climb to an 11 run lead. El Segundo fought back, led by Derrick Duarte who went 4-4 and picked up an RBI. Steven Eno also contributed with a big double and El Segundo scored 8 runs in the final 4 innings. But, the El Segundo push came to late, and Santa Monica took a 15 to 8 victory. The two teams combined for 28 hits, and Bobby Summers caught the loss.

Looking to rebound from a tough loss, the Eagles traveled to South Torrance. El Segundo bounced back in yet another offensive minded game. After falling behind 7-3, the Eagles rallied and went on to win 11 to 8. Chris Ornelos led the high-octane charge, as he hit two over the fence. Kevin Wright also went long for a home run, and Steven Eno, Matt Engle, and Brad Franks hit doubles. Ricky Talanoa pitched for the win.

Two days later the Eagles matched up with South again. In a pitcher's duel, El Segundo only managed two hits, compliments of Eno and Duarte. South took the game with a solo homerun and Hendrich got the loss. The 1 - 0 loss put the Eagles at 7-4 overall and 2-2 in league.

Next, El Segundo faced up against the Mira Costa Mustangs. The game was another low scoring battle, and the Eagles scored their only run when Phil Goff walked with the bases loaded. In the final inning, with a 3-1 count and two outs, Costa smacked one in play and stole the game. Talanoa, had 3Ks, but got the unfortunate loss, (3-2). The back-to-back tough losses but the Eagles under .500, with a 8-9 record overall and a 2-3 league record.
