Pollo Grill: Peruvian Rotisserie & Grill
By Claudia Rebora

Need something new to eat. Something new for your taste buds to burst with utter excitement? Well then you must go to Pollo Grill. This authentic Peruvian restaurant does not mess around with un-authentic food and boasts family recipes that date from back from the late 1800’s. This I know first hand since it is the place which my parents own and one day who knows I might.
When you first take a step into this beautiful restaurant in Redondo Beach you get a whiff of exotic spices and in the background Peruvian music goes through your ears. This restaurant is mostly known for its rotisserie chicken and the soup, which Dr. Gen speaks about so highly. Vegetarians don’t worry they do have a vegetarian menu and a seafood menu. With the many choices it is hard to choose what to fill yourself with. As you sit down golden rolls are brought to your table and menus are brought out for you to choose. You can choose from plates like Jalea which is huge and has different types of seafood like mariscos. When you finally choose, you don’t have to wait long for a plate that will not let you down. This restaurant does not only boast great food and authentic recipes, they also boast friendly service. The type of service they give is the type of service where you can walk in one day and just hang out with the owner who is willing to make a new dish for you to try. With this family friendly restaurant it is hard to miss out on the opportunity to try something new. Plus if you don’t want to dine- in you can call ahead and order your favorites which will be waiting for you when you arrive fifteen minutes later.
Now where this restaurant is is you may be asking yourself? It is located on 2225 Artesia Blvd. Redondo Beach, CA. Right down the street from Mira Costa to be exact. Now if you are too lazy to look it up on mapquest.com just follow these simple directions:

1.      Go south on Sepulveda

2.      Make a Left on El Segundo Blvd.

3.      Go down until you reach Inglewood Ave. where you make a Right

4.      Another Right on Artesia

5.      And finally you will reach Pollo Grill which is next to Sand Tots
