Eagles
Have a Bad Kickoff Game
It
was a disappointing loss for the Eagles on Friday, September 8, 2006
against the West Torrance Warriors. A shutout score of 0-60 was
humiliating for the Eagles coach Steve
Shevlin. The
Eagles offensively ran the ball 10 times for zero yards. Quarterback
senior Mike Quinones completed 11/25 passes for
a total 120 yards and threw one interception. On the brighter side,
some new faces on the varsity team showed up, like sophomore
Kevin Post completed 3 passes for 22 yards and sophomore Joey
Schaffhauser completed 2 passes for 37 yards, while returning
senior, Travonn Smith, completed 3 passes for a total of 19
yards. Smith also had a 63 yard kickoff return later in the game.
Senior Andrew Pelc who had a total of 9 tackles for was a
standout player in defense. It was a difficult season opener for the
Eagles and fans look for improvement in their next game. |
