I was born on May 24^th in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  My family moved to El Segundo when I was two years old!  I spent my early years in El Segundo and graduated from El Segundo High School. 

I attended college in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and earned my BA and teaching credential at Augustana College.  After graduating I returned to El Segundo and began my teaching career at Westchester Lutheran School where I taught 1^st and 2^nd grade for 6 years. 

I left teaching to pursue a career in the corporate training arena when I went to work for American Airlines/Sabre.  There I held positions in training and management.   After 22 years in the travel industry, I had a wonderful opportunity to switch gears and re-focus on my original goals in education. 

This is my fifth full year teaching 1^st grade at Richmond St.  Every day brings new and exciting experiences.  Last I received my Master's Degree in Education from Chapman University.

I have a 26 year old daughter, Tiffany.  She is pursuing a career in medicine and graduated from Mount St. Mary's College in Brentwood last May.  When I’m not teaching,  you might find me scrapbooking, reading, or enjoying a great Angel’s baseball game.
